9 Best Tips to Remove Black & White Heads on Nose and Face

Difference B/w a black and a white head is simply whether or not the pore is open or closed. If the pore is open, the plug of sebum skin cells oxidizes as it is in contact with the oxygen in the air, which turns it black. Blackheads are not caused by dirt. Let’s make that clear from the beginning.

Scrubbing your face obsessively is not a good way to get rid of your blackheads, and is only going to make it worse as you’ll just end up drying out your skin, which will cause more oil to be created to make up for everything you stripped away, and…well it’s a vicious cycle.

1. Potatoes:

Grate few potatoes and rub the mixture on the affected area and wash it off after 15 minutes.

2. Coriander Leaves:

Mix coriander leaves and a little bit of turmeric with sufficient water to make a spreadable paste. Apply the paste as mask to get rid of the blackheads as well as whiteheads.

3. Apple cider vinegar (ACV):

4. Oatmeal:

Grind oatmeal into a powder in a blender and then add some rose water. Use this on affected areas for 15 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.

5. Lemon Juice:

Natural lemon juice contains citric acid that helps remove whiteheads by opening the pores and drying out the excess oil. To use lemon juice, slice a fresh lemon, collect the juice and mix it with water in a 50/50 solution. Grab a cotton ball and dip in the lemon juice solution and simply apply the damp cotton ball directly to the affected area. It’s important that you do not overdo this treatment as it dries the skin and cause irritation. and You can also use equal parts of lime juice and cinnamon powder and apply this mixture to blackheads. Leave it on overnight and rinse it off in the morning.

6. Tomato:

Tomatoes have natural antiseptic properties that dry up blackheads. Take a small tomato, peel and mash it, then apply it over the blackheads before going to bed. Leave it overnight and then wash it with clean water in the morning.

7. Antibiotics:

Prescription topical antibiotics or oral antibiotics might be used if some of the blackheads and whiteheads are infected, but antibiotics do not help with comedones that are not infected.

8. Fenugreek Leaves:

Crush some fenugreek leaves and mix with water to form a paste. Put this on the face for 15 minutes and then remove it. Do this every night to keep your face free of blackheads.

9. Baking Soda:

Prepare a mixture of equal parts of baking soda and water and rub it onto your face or other body areas prone to blackheads. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water.
